Making the Cut: the shapes for the coming season.

New seasons can sometimes prompt the desire to a new look, and this season does not disappoint in the hair stakes! - especially if you fancy a chop!

Here is a round up of the cuts that are going to shape the season.

Fringes

Fringes are hot hot hot this season, and the absolute ambassador for the must-have Curtain Fringe is most certainly Sabrina Carpenter - I mean she literally is everywhere - It is no surprise that the outspoken pocket rocket is the new face for Redken!

Fringes in Autumn are a good idea, coz it is colder, and obviously our foreheads sweat less, which makes it much easier to handle... and at the same time it gives us a totally new look by only cutting a small section of our hair - which let's face it -it is quite likely to be battered from summer anyway!

.....But if for some reason you can't deal with cutting those locks - you can even fake it!

With so many clip on fringes out there, you can even flirt with the idea without a single blade next to your hair!

The Textured Blunt Bob

Bobs are still very much reigning supreme this season - but edging just a little bit more than its' sleek counterparts, the textured bob just oozes a playful chic that looks effortless - but do not be fooled this is no low maintenance style - regular styling here is pretty essential.

Keeping it in tip-top shape means you want to be touching up those ends every 6 weeks at least, and keeping those locks hydrated is essential as those textures need to not look frazzled, so ramping up your home haircare is a good idea - and of course finishing products... texture sprays and serums work wonders on the style!

The Crob

....and here is another mix of styles for the season!

The Crob (cropped bob - of course) - is another hot look of the season - it is a layered and texturized bob that has a definite nod to the 90s - the wispier textured ends makes this style excellent for those that are after a wash and go air-dryed hairstyle.

Great for wavy and curly hair - finishing products will be essential!

Long layered cuts

Sticking to a 'retro-ish' vibe - the return of this early 2000s favourite is the look for easy long hair.

You can amp up the volume ....

Or sleek it down like a real pop princess -

think Britney (before the head shave) or Christina even Madonna at the VMAs - this screams pop princess with lots of movement for that hair choreography you know you want to try.

What?
